Must have a zest for life and be fun- exploring the outdoors and providing messy play opportunities.
Hours can be flexible- worked out with family. Must be a driver.
Job description:
Personal care support: Undressing, changing nappy as and when required.
Recreational : Have fun and playing games with the child. Help keep her entertained and to get know what makes her happy. Encouraging and joining in outdoor play- leisurely walks in the park.
Mealtimes: Give snack, be present with her at mealtimes.
Medication: Administer rescue epilepsy medication as and when required.
Specific requirements:
Proactively encouraging simple language- PECS (preferred).
Previous experience with neurodiverse children in particular. with autism.
Ability to deal with challenging behaviours -Be patient.
First Aid/CPR – (preferred).
Qualifications in care (preferred).
If there was an emergency at school- being able collect if needs be.
Driver.
Training:
DBS check.
Epilepsy training- will be given by parents.
Rescue medication training.- will be given by parents.
£14 an hour. 12 hours a week during the week- between 3-6pm. Mum can be flexible with these hours.
