Summary

The job is to help a disabled woman in her thirties including household tasks, help managing her illnesses and some personal care, as well as approximately five hours of administrative tasks a week.

This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on preference. The list of shifts available is below: ideally you should do at least four shifts a week.
The successful candidates will be responsible for a range of duties including personal care, admin, medication management, housekeeping, and communication with healthcare professionals.

No experience required, but admin experience is a plus. Those who are competent, organised and proactive with common sense are encouraged to apply.

Training is provided. Location is Saltaire, BD18.

Admin Responsibilities:
Process and submit staff timesheets
Prepare and manage monthly staff rotas.
Coordinate staff absences, including holidays, sickness, and shift changes & arrange cover as required.
Verify and record receipts and expenses.
Conduct DBS checks for new staff.
Carry out employment checks, including Right to Work checks.
Handle internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner.
Support recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews.
Assist with onboarding and induction of new staff members.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations.
Work to improve our admin processes over time.
Other general admin duties as required, including telephone calls and correspondence.

Care Responsibilities:
Providing personal care assistance, including washing, dressing, and oral hygiene
Administering medication and monitoring medication supply
Undertaking general housekeeping duties, such as tidying, cleaning, laundry, shopping, organising, vegetarian meal planning and cooking (vegetarian cook books available!)
Liaising with medical professionals via phone and email and other administrative tasks
Flexible and open to covering other PAs' illness and holidays etc.
Other duties as required

Benefits: PAYE £15 p/h, holiday pay, and pension (directly employed, no agency)

Shifts available include days, evenings and sleep-in night cover seven days per week.

Typical shift times:
8:30am - 6pm
6pm - 11pm
Sleeping nights - 11pm - 8:30am (paid differently)

There is a little flexibility in these times with prior agreement for the right person.

Monday evening 6pm - 11pm (alternative weeks)
Monday night 11pm - 8:30am (alternative weeks, sleeping nights, paid differently)
Tuesday evening 6pm - 11pm
Wednesday day 8:30am - 6pm
Wednesday evening 6pm - 11pm
Thursday day 8:30am - 6pm
Thursday evening 6pm - 11pm
Thursday night 11pm - 8:30am (sleeping nights, paid differently)
Friday day 8:30am - 6pm
Friday evening 6pm - 11pm
Friday night 11pm - 8:30am (sleeping nights, paid differently)
Saturday day 8:30am - 6pm (every week is available, or alternative weeks also)
Sunday day 8:30am - 6pm (alternative week)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organised and with personal or professional admin experience or aptitude
Able to communicate professionally and very clearly
Flexibility, common sense and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Can-do attitude and common sense
No experience needed - those with institutional care experience may find they have to learn a new way of working
Experience in running a household desirable
Reliable, organised and trustworthy - being on time is important
Very strong spoken and written English
Willing to undergo a DBS check, though only convictions relevant to the specific job role will be taken into account
Authorised to work in the UK
Skill at writing complaint letters and other documentation a plus!
