Summary


We are looking to appoint to a 6PA Consultant in Community Sexual and Reproductive Health (CSRH) at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust based at our iCaSH Peterborough service, to deliver high quality direct patient care and support specialist training in Sexual and Reproductive Health.

This post of Consultant in CSRH is based within the iCaSH Peterborough locality of Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (CCS NHS Trust) at the Peterborough clinic: Kings Chambers, working collaboratively with the iCaSH Cambridgeshire and wider iCaSH services.

The post holder will work alongside the existing clinical and administrative teams providing integrated contraception and sexual health services in Peterborough.

The post holder will be expected to have broad and robust experience in reproductive health and work independently as a consultant in CSRH.

Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required.

The post holder will undertake a full range of medical duties in Contraception Clinics and Sexual Health Clinics and will be expected to work with clinical colleagues supported by local managers in providing a safe, efficient, and effective service .

The post holder will share clinical responsibilities with professional colleagues and will actively contribute to the governance arrangements of the department.

The post holder will provide active support to the leadership team to support the continued development of the iCaSH Peterborough service, in order to enhance patient access ensuring that patient safety, confidentiality, and effective clinical governance are maintained and to help develop appropriate clinical pathways.

A key element of this role is to deliver training at general and higher specialty levels. The candidate will be expected to deliver all components of an FSRH General Training Programme (DFSRH, LoC IUT, LoC SDI and FRT), in the role of Director of that programme to internal and external candidates as necessary.

The post holder will also act, if required, in the role of Educational Supervisor for Specialty Trainees in CSRH based in Peterborough or Cambridge providing both clinical and educational supervision and ensuring their own continuing competence as a Tier 3 Educator through engagement with local Deanery frameworks.

The post holder would also be expected to contribute to the planning and delivery of local courses to multi-professional audiences relating to all aspects of Reproductive Health and sexual health and provide expertise and drive in delivering them.
