Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Food Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking Design & Technology department from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach an engaging and vital subject, inspiring students to develop essential life skills and a passion for food and nutrition. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:
Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan and implement a curriculum that promotes healthy eating, practical cookery skills, and food science
Create a positive and safe learning environment, including effective use of specialist equipment and kitchen facilities
Assess, track, and support student progress, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported
Contribute to the wider school community and take part in extra-curricular or enrichment activities where appropriate
Ideal Food Technology Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have a strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Food Technology Teacher.
Be committed to student achievement and continuous professional development
Have experience or interest in running practical lessons with a focus on safety, hygiene, and nutrition
