Job type: Part Time, permanent, 22.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days

dedicated to making life better - for the families we serve, and for the people who help us to make that happen. Through grants
and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need, when they need it, while our free nurse
helpline offers crucial support and information – as well as a listening ear. Our campaigns help to give disabled children and
their families a voice, even being instrumental in changing laws to benefit the families we serve. And we support adults with
additional needs with volunteering and employment opportunities, providing a means for career development.
The Opportunity:
Reporting into the Head of HR, we are seeking a commercial HR professional who has a hands-on, practical approach and can thrive
in a busy and diverse environment. You will be a dynamic Business Partner or a Senior HR Advisor who is looking to make a
difference in their next role. Partnering with the business, you’ll champion the People agenda across the organisation, providing
commercial, pragmatic advice and support across all HR disciplines; promoting best practice and helping create a culture where our
employees feel valued and engaged.
About the role
You’ll provide focused HR advice around employee relations activities such as absence management, disciplinary and grievance, with
a view of driving a high-performing culture whilst collaborating closely with the wider People team to ensure consistency in
approach and advice given.
You’ll proactively work with the organisation to understand the key organisational and charity issues, spotting trends and taking
positive action to progress the people agenda and embed excellent people practices; you’ll do this whilst promoting our wellbeing
policies and initiatives that support a healthy and sustainable workforce, ensuring our colleagues makes effective use of the
available benefits and services on offer.
In addition, you’ll support the recruitment and selection process as required.
It’s essential in this role to proactively keep up to date on any changes in employment legislation and work with the wider People
Team to ensure all company policies, procedures and guidance are updated and remain compliant.
This is a field role which will require you to visit our retail sites and plan your diary accordingly.
What we are looking for:
* Experience of managing and driving HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
* Broad experience in all aspects of an HR Business Partnering including reward, employee relations, talent, succession planning,
restructuring and leadership.
* Facilitate performance management reporting.
* Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
* High level influencing and communication skills.
* Ability to multi task, work well under pressure and ability to us own initiative.
* Ability to travel.
* Clean driving licence.
* Experience in the use of a range of techniques to support training and development activities, selection and compensation and
benefits is required. (eg: TNA, psychometrics, salary surveys).
* CIPD qualified is desirable.
