Job Overview

-To assist the Facilities Manager (FM) with the day to day running of the contract's Technical Services specification.

-To manage all elements of Hard Services at the client's sites, as well as day to day management of the enginer's work loading.

-To supervise a team of engineers to deliver routine maintenance tasks and reactive work.

-To identify any remedial work from PPM's and ensure completion in a timely manner and inline with SLAs

-Management of sub-contractors and specialist suppliers whilst onsite.

-Deliver a professional and high level of service to the buildings occupants in the most cost effective , technically competent and safe manner

-Assist the FM in developing and delivering the Capital replacement programme and ensuring the clients assets are captured and decommissioned using the correct process.

Main Duties

-

· Pro-actively demonstrate and work to the Company's values of People, Passion, Fresh Thinking and Exciting Futures

· Ensure self and team carry out duties in accordance with all Health and Safety procedures, Codes of Practice and Statutory Regulations

· Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest standard of customer service and that work is completed on time, within budget and meets Service Level Agreements or Key Performance Indicators

· Undertake supervision, coaching, support and development for team members

· Day to day management of relevant employees including conduct, performance, attendance and capability.

· Build effective relationships with the client, answering queries, keeping them informed about site activities and developments

· Identify opportunities for, and then organise and manage to completion, any additional works in accordance with any repair and replacement contractual requirements

· Act as the primary point of contact for all Customer queries in the absence of the FM.

· Monitor, co-ordinate and manage services provided by specialists and/or sub-contractors

· Undertake scheduled audits on the performance of the subcontractors to ensure their performance continues to provide the best value-for-money service

· Ensure compliance for all necessary Permit to Work Systems

· To become the Appointed Person with relevant training given by Mitie

· To build excellent pro-active stakeholder relationships with key client business stakeholders & IFM

· Build relationships and create a One Team working culture throughout.

· Complete all work related documentation accurately and on time from the initial raising of a job through to completion, closure and billing.

· To understand and comply with policies and procedures

· To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner

· To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required

· To undertake additional duties in line with your capabilities as required

· Assist in the implementation of improvements to procedures and systems, making recommendations as appropriate

What we are looking for

-Able to demonstrate understanding and leading by example for health and safety. Understand the relevance of tool box talks and safe systems of working.

-Proven track record for supervising Hard FM services in commercial/industrial properties

-Holds relevant technical qualifications or experience with Mechanical
