Your Role as a Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with students with additional needs, particularly those with autism, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting students with SEN in mainstream classes and during small-group interventions
• Aiding lesson access through adapted resources and personalised strategies
• Encouraging student confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to implement support plans
• Monitoring and feeding back on student progress

• A graduate (2:1 or above preferred) with a genuine interest in SEN
• Ideally someone with experience or knowledge of autism support
• A Learning Support Assistant who is patient, proactive, and empathetic
