This is a great opportunity to come and work in our very highly rated secondary school in central Manchester. The Student Service Coordinator supports students’ academic and personal success through responsive and helpful service to students, colleagues and parents, alongside running the organisation of a number of in school and after school events.

WHAT WE WANT FROMYOU:

• A science background with laboratory experience as a sciencetechnician;

• NVQ L2 or 3 qualification in relevant discipline, eg NVQLaboratory & Associated Technical Activities or L2 In Laboratory TechnicalSkills, or equivalent;

• Good numeracy and literacy skills, at least equivalent to RQFLevel 2, with excellent IT skills;

• Good communication, written and interpersonal skills are vital forthis role;

• Confidence to prepare chemicals and safely set up a range ofscience experiments;

• Knowledge of safe working practices, Health & Safetylegislation & COSHH, CLEAPSS & ESCC regulations;

• Well organised and professional with a flexible and positiveapproach to all aspects and areas of your work;

• Ability to work independently, responding to tight deadlines,prioritising work whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals andcomplete projects within timescales;

• Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance andpunctuality record.
