The Social Care Team at Killelea House consists of a Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager, Five Social Workers and Four Social Care Officers. We are situated at Killelea House which is a rehabilitative intermediate care unit but we also provide community outreach and rehabilitation within peoples own homes. As a social work team, we work together with Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Carers to promote strengths-based assessments to improve the independence, rights and risks of the people we work for and empower them to live positive and fulfilling lives.
At Killelea House we have a commitment towards staff, ensuring they feel supported in their role. As a result, we have regular team meetings, staff one-to-ones, peer reflective supervisions and encourage continuing professional development and training.
We are looking for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic social care officer who has a commitment to embedding strengths based practices in their approach and good knowledge of key legislation applicable to the role.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis. Typical working pattern is Mon-Fri, 8.45am-5pm, however, flexible working pattern can be discussed with line manager.
