Summary
Search are seeking a technically strong Accountant with solid experience in both financial accounting and management accounting to join a well-established organisation in Liverpool on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working options.
This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can deliver accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to support statutory requirements and internal business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage monthly and period-end financial reports
- Analyse budget vs actual costs
- Support forecasting and cash flow management
- Inter-company reconciliations and maintain balance sheet
- Oversee payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations
- Support statutory compliance
- Tax returns and financial statement preparation
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Respond efficiently to financial queries from stakeholders
- Review and process supplier and expense payments
- Contribute to finance projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognised accounting qualification or working towards (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical expertise across financial and management accounting principles
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently across the organisation
- A proactive, organised and deadline-driven approach
