Summary
Clinical ResponsibilitiesAccountable for own autonomous practice and responsible for maintaining and improving personal knowledge and proficiency (e.g. defibrillation, intravenous cannulation, intravenous drugadministration, pacing and ECG recognition) as required to support advanced life support during resuscitation and with due regard to safety and expertise of other team members.Hold an emergency bleep and respond to clinical emergencies (e.g. adult, paediatric, maternal and neo-natal cardiac arrest calls; adult and child trauma calls; medical emergency calls), assuming leadership of or acting as an integral member within the multi-disciplinary team as necessary in linewith individual proficiencies.Provide support and explain to patients and relatives about resuscitation decisions and procedures as required.Maintain clinical proficiency through clinical shifts.Maintain own professional and clinical development, by keeping up to date with the latest research and evidence related to resuscitation. Demonstrate clinical competence and confidence in using specialist knowledge, equipment and skillsin various clinical settings (intraosseous insertion, assisting with advanced airway management, mechanical devices for CPR)
