As a Restaurant Host at The Carlyon Bay Hotel , you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be the first point of contact for customers, responsible for greeting and seating them, ensuring their needs are met, and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout their visit.

What will I be doing?
As a Restaurant Host The Carlyon Bay Hotel you will work in a fast-paced, up-scale dining environment. Weekend and evening shifts are common and requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting or moving of light objects.
Provide outstanding customer service to all guests from arrival to depature. Assist with any special requirements, deiterary or mobility restrictions, provide information on the hotel.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements effectively and efficiently, taking into consideration guests requirements and needs.
Effectively manage waiting lists during peak times, ensuring guests are kept informed about their table status and wait times.
Collaborate with the restaurant staff to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.Work closely with the restaurant manager, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow, effective communication, and seamless guest experiences.
Promote menu items, beverages, and additional services to guests in a courteous manner, enhancing their dining experience while boosting restaurant revenue.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff members

Previous experience in a host/hostess or front-of-house role

Ability to handle payments
Knowledge of the restaurant menu and hotel offering
Exceptional organisational skills
Ability to work well in a team
Be self motivated and have the ability to prioritise tasks independently
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a restaurant environment.
