We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a Support Worker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.83 - £21.95 per hour

Summary:

As a Support Worker within Sefton MBC's Childrens Social Care and Family Centres, you will provide practical and emotional support to children, young people, and their families. Your role will contribute to safeguarding, early intervention, and the promotion of well-being, ensuring improved outcomes for vulnerable children.

Responsibilities:

Provide practical and social support to families in line with assessment frameworks and care plans.
Undertake direct work with children and families in homes and community settings to promote positive outcomes and safety.
Facilitate participation of children and young people in decision-making through life story work and support groups.
Ensure data protection compliance and handle sensitive information responsibly.
Assist with out-of-hours services as required and adhere to all Sefton Council policies.
Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification related to working with children and young people (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, CYPW).
Essentials:

Experience working directly with children, young people, and families in a social care or community setting.
Experience writing reports and maintaining accurate records to a professional standard.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across agencies and manage caseloads to set deadlines.
