We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative (Joiner) to join Sovini Property Services, part of The Sovini Group.

This position is a permanent opportunity.
As a Multi Skilled Operative (Joiner), you will be expected to:
• Ensure that all customer homes are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
• Must be proficient in most of the following activities - installation of kitchens & bathrooms, joinery/carpentry, sheet and tiled flooring, plumbing, plastering and tiling
• Ensure that works are completed within the target response times
• Provide a high standard of service to all customers
• Carry out the work to all customer homes in accordance with current Building Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation and Association timescales
• Ensure all PPE issued is accounted for at all times and kept safe and secure
• Use/wear and apply all PPE issued by Sovini Property Services
• Assist colleagues where necessary to ensure Sovini Property Services obligations are completely fulfilled
• Meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives
• Positively promote and demonstrate the values required by the business
• Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
• Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
To be successful in a Multi Skilled Operative (Joiner) role, the skills you will need:
• Qualified to City and Guilds NVQ or equivalent (level 2) in Joinery
• Hold full UK driving licence (Manual)
• Competent in Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering, Painting, Flooring and Wall Tiling
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• A knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, external agencies and office-based colleagues
• Able to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective use of own time
• Commitment to providing a high-quality service to all customers
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
• Ability to install complete kitchens and bathrooms including all associated works
• Familiar with PDA and other electronic devices.
• Experience working in a social housing environment
