A Cardiff based, international business are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join a growing team. This business excel in their field and their product has a genuine impact on the end user. The business offer an excellent benefits package including a strong pension contribution, a good bonus and opportunities to go on courses and further professional development. The role is well suited to an engineer coming who is looking to get off nights and work on a 2 shift basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Achieve minimum downtime on machinery, equipment and / or tooling to allow the Operational side of the business to function efficiently and effectively.
- Complete all buildings Maintenance as and when required.
- Implement changes to machinery, equipment and / or tooling as required to improve company efficiencies.
- Support members of the Maintenance & Production Departments to ensure optimum performance of the Maintenance Team and manufacturing facility.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in both the Maintenance Department and any site activities.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers where necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Substantial experience in a Maintenance position.
- Experience within Manufacturing.
- Qualified to work on electrical circuits.
- Competent to work with mechanical components, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Knowledge of Omron and Mitsubishi PLC.
- Extensive experience working with automated machinery.
