Salary: £13.85 - £17.07 per hour

Shifts on offer*: Monday to Sunday Days (8am to 8pm), Nights (8pm to 8am)
Non-Smokers and Tracheostomy experience required for the role
About the Role:
Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for Care Assistants to work with our male service user in the Croydon area. You will be supporting our service user who has Motor Neuron Disease. As our service user also has Tracheostomy, due to him having previous respiratory difficulties, previous Tracheostomy experience is essential for this role, as you will be taking part in clinical assessments and carrying out related tasks from Ventilation, Suctioning, Oxygen throughout. During the recruitment process, we will provide full competency assessment & sign off for care assistants to assist you with these clinical tasks.
Due to our service users' complexities, this has caused loss to their motor activities. There will be high levels of manual handling. He loves to engage in the community and being able to spend quality time with his family. He still aims to live an active lifestyle. You will be assisted alongside another care assistant at all times.
We are looking for care assistants that want a long-term career working with the service user where they can really make a difference to our service users' wellbeing. The ideal care assistant to work in this exciting role will be encouraging, patient, and empathetic, and have a basic understanding of Technology (to support him with his wheelchair and home use). These successful candidates should be able to embody these resilient and empathetic attitudes.

Requirements for the Role:
- A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.
- Experience working with clients who have a Tracheostomy
- Background knowledge with Motor Neuron Disease, but not essential.
- To provide the correct compliance documents including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
