Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team working for Dorset HealthCare University NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will find the experience challenging, rewarding, and varied.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
• Exercise Programme Oversight:Assist in the implementation of exercise programmes prescribed by the physiotherapy team, adapting exercises as needed to support patient progress. Report any concerns or significant changes in patient condition to the physiotherapist.
• Exercise Class Facilitation:Support the delivery of structured exercise classes, ensuring patient engagement and adherence to safety protocols.
• Equipment Maintenance:Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of physiotherapy equipment, adhering to infection control guidelines.
• Facility Utilisation:Utilise the newly built gymnasium at Blandford Hospital to enhance outpatient physiotherapy services.
• Inventory Management:Assist in stock taking and ordering of necessary physiotherapy supplies, ensuring availability and readiness for patient use.
• Training and Development:Maintain mandatory training requirements and actively pursue Band 3-specific training opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
