Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with responsibilities that may include heavy lifting and medication administration. The Care Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those under their care, particularly for individuals with dementia or those requiring home care.

We work with people with a broad range of care or support needs, including physical disabilities, mental health and wellbeing, acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, long term health conditions. This means that we have a variety of different experiences and no two days are the same.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Engage in activities that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being for clients, particularly those with dementia.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience

Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Familiarity with dementia care practices is advantageous.
Experience in home care settings is beneficial.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
Skills in childcare may also be considered an asset for those working with families or children in need of support.
