Crynodeb
We require someone to join our very busy restoration department. Previous experience of wood working and polishing would be an advantage but training will be given. The job entails removing any existing upholsterey that is worn or torn. You would then check all the joints on the chair remove corner blocks knock apart gently if required replace dowels as needed reglue all joints and clamp together. Sand any rough edges and knocks and then wash the frame with soda crystals removing any dirt and grime and then allowing the chair to dry. You will then apply a coat of sealer then French polish by hand and pass the finished chair to our upholsterey department. Attention to detail and a can do attitude will go a long way when learning about the restoration of reclaimed dining chairs.
