About the role
All Saints Federation are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to work alongside the School Cook and team in their busy kitchen. This position is to work for 10 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 12.00pm until 2.00pm, these hours will be worked during the school term time.
You will play a key role in preparing healthy, nutritional, and delicious meals for the children, staff, and visitors to the school. Ensuring that the lunch hall is set up and ready for the children to have their lunch break and will help to clean the hall after the lunchtime has finished.
You will help with serving the meals and ensuring that the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness, helping to wash the pots and cutlery.
The job requirements
You will be a team player who is passionate providing children with a healthy and nutritional meals during their time at school. You will have a good understanding of a healthy and balance diet and the ability to cook tasty food while adhering to health and safety standards.
You will have good communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner. You will be a positive role model to the children.
Experience of working within a similar role would be an advantage however this is not essential as full training and support will be provided. You will however be committed to and have a good understanding of safeguarding children.
