Crynodeb
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, alternating by week between 06:00-14:00, and 14:00-22:00, with a 30-minute paid break per shift.
The HGV technician’s role within TruckEast is to be responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customer’s premises
Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
Liaise with parts department to attain parts
Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses
Provide cover on rota system for breakdown cover

Qualifications and/or Experience
Technical qualification (City & Guilds level 3 or NVQ qualified technician), or knowledge gained through hands-on workshop experience

Current driving licence
Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
Ability to work as a team

Computer literate
Excellent customer care skills

ADR
HGV licence
Experience working with Scania products
Fork Lift licence (FLT)
Main dealer workshop experience
