Job Title: Supply Primary Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Job Type: Supply, Full-Time
Daily Rate: £150 – £220 per day
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

About the Role:

TeacherActive is working with several well-regarded mainstream primary schools in Tower Hamlets seeking experienced and reliable supply teachers, HLTAs, cover supervisors, and OTTs to cover across the full primary curriculum.

This is an excellent opportunity for supply staff looking to work across a variety of year groups and settings, delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining consistent learning progress.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons across the primary curriculum

  
  

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  
  

• Manage behaviour effectively, ensuring pupil safety and wellbeing

  
  

• Follow school policies and guidance to ensure continuity in teaching and learning

  
  

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and leadership teams

  
  

• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils

  
  Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT), Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), or Cover Supervisor experience accepted

    
    

  • Experience teaching or supervising across primary age ranges (Reception to Year 6)

    
    

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage pupils

    
    

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

    
    

  • Flexibility and reliability to cover short or longer-term supply assignments

    
    

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
