Summary
This post requires a contribution to teaching and student assessment and supervision in mathematics, primarily at undergraduate level, in the Department of Mathematics and across the School of Mathematics and Computer Science where required, in addition to sharing organisational and academic administrative responsibilities. The precise contribution will be determined by the Head of Department and Programme Director for Mathematics, considering the post-holder’s experience and expertise, but it is likely to be focused on tutorials, lectures, and computer labs and may involve computational components. The post requires high quality delivery of teaching and student learning and a commitment to enhancing the overall student experience. Previous teaching experience is welcome, but not essential. There may be an opportunity or requirement to contribute to taught postgraduate teaching and assessment.
This is a one-year fixed-term position established to provide temporary teaching cover for a staff member undertaking a one-year research fellowship, and to provide teaching support to a further colleague to enable them to focus on developing a new online programme.
