We are looking for an experienced full-time Cook to join our Care Homes Berkeley Gardens/Berkeley House in Pemberton, Wigan.
We require a friendly reliable person to join an established team working in a caring environment. Must be able to cook and bake from fresh ingredients and understand food hygiene rules and regulations.
Duties to include:
Preparing nutritious and appropriate meals for the residents, paying particular attention to any special dietary requirements of individual residents.
All aspects of food handling, ensuring preparation and presentation to residents are properly monitored in order to ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations.
Making food orders to suppliers and managing stock.
Ensure all equipment provided in the kitchen is used correctly and in accordance with operating instructions and abiding by food hygiene standards.
To dispose of waste correctly.
Maintaining a high level of kitchen cleanliness and other responsible duties as may be required.
To have a professional, caring and efficient service to residents at all times.
It is essential to have a minimum of 12 months experience.
36 hours per week to include alternate weekends.
