The Finance Systems Team is responsible for improving the financial systems, reports and processes within the GPA. The team is also responsible for maintaining certain key data within the systems.

This central expertise supports business areas across the GPA, delivering functionality and control, and making the best use of technologies to drive continuous improvement and customer service excellence. They are an enabling function, with self-service the model for functional delivery.

This role primarily supports the MS Business Central and Proactis systems, whilst having the knowledge to support other GPA systems as and when needed, including MRI Horizon and Power BI and Power Apps.

The Systems Accountant’s responsibilities will be delivering systems maintenance and administration, including chart of accounts data across systems, reviewing user access requests, supporting the integration process and conducting reconciliations across systems.They will also manage the shared email inbox, answer user queries, and assist with report development and system testing at times.

The post holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities as expected in relation to the role and grade.

The post holder will contribute to GPA developing a culture of strong financial management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Systems administration/maintenance.
  • Responding to queries in the Finance System Mailbox, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Resolve day to day queries occurring on the systems, and communicating with users.
  • Update the chart of accounts on multiple systems.
  • Monitor system integrations.
  • Reconcile between systems to ensure migration success.
  • Assist with report improvements and system testing.
  • The post holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities as expected in relation to the role and grade.
