Summary
Silverwood school are seeking a committed and creative EYFS Teacher to join our Early Years team on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE), starting in September 2025.
This role will be based in a brand-new, purpose-designed EYFS building at our Rowde campus-offering a safe, inspiring environment tailored to the needs of our youngest learners.

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality early years teaching within a specialist SEND setting
- Conduct home visits in Term 1 to establish strong relationships with pupils and families
- Support children attending water confidence sessions in the onsite hydrotherapy pool
- Utilise our extensive outdoor areas and work with school animals to enhance learning and engagement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a shared team ethos
- Foster an environment rich in sensory experiences and structured exploration
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a solid understanding of Early Years pedagogy and the EYFS framework
- Demonstrate knowledge of SEND and a flexible, inclusive teaching approach
- Communicate clearly and effectively with pupils, families and professionals
- Bring strong observation and assessment skills to inform responsive teaching
- Be imaginative, patient and empathetic in responding to pupil needs
- Support and value outdoor learning and sensory-based play
