The areas of work covered by private sector housing include landlord licensing, housing standards, housing compliance and enforcement, empty properties and home improvement assistance. The private sector housing role will focus initially on dealing with disrepair complaints relating to private rented, empty and owner-occupied properties. About the Role The successful candidates will work in an established enforcement team who implement and enforce predominately the Housing Act 2004. Duties will include consulting and liaising, including face to face meetings with landlords, owners and residents, inspecting properties using the Housing and Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), and progressing cases where a property owner is found to be non-compliant including taking appropriate enforcement action, as required for the relevant work stream.
