Summary

Experience and SkillsPrevious experience in managing minor illnesses and injuries is desirable. Triage experience is also preferred. While X-ray interpretation skills are advantageous, they are not essential. Work AreasYour primary workplace will be the Emergency Department. However, the department also oversees the Walk-In Centre at Sidwell Street, Exmouth Minor Injuries, and Honiton Minor Injuries. During periods of staff shortages, you may be asked to support these locations to help keep them operational. Training and DevelopmentWe provide regular in-house training opportunities, including a weekly one-hour teaching session every Wednesday (both virtual and in-person). Additionally, there is an annual Nurse Practitioner study day, plaster study days, safeguarding training, and access to external courses. We also encourage staff interested in further education to pursue Masters level modules. Working Pattern 37.5 hours per week. This role involves shift work, including weekends and nights, with a 10-hour shift pattern. Interview Date To be confirmed. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date.
