Summary
Part Time - Learning Support AssistantMeath Green Junior School is a three form entry which provides a friendly, caring and supportive environment where pupils develop an enthusiasm for learning and the confidence to tackle the challenges of an ever-changing world. We retained a 'Good' Ofsted rating following our inspection in October 2024.MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils, resources and the classroom.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
It is accepted by all at Meath Green Junior that the children are a priority. Learning Support Assistants are expected to show initiative, however the duties and responsibilities listed below are in all cases to be agreed with the class teacher or year group leader. Although expectations are high they must be realistic.
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible Part Time, Learning Support Assistant for 38 weeks of the year with a strong commitment to inclusive education . Hours to be worked in the morning. The successful candidates will be capable of working both independently and as part of a team in our friendly, dynamic and successful school.Preferably with an NVQ2 or above in Teaching & Learning Support (or equivalent) or has had previous experience working with children in some capacity.
