HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT
3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday & ThursdayHours: 8.30a.m.-3.30p.m.
Salary: Grade F, point 15 - £14,628 (Actual) £32,931 fte
Contract: 1 year initially(salary negotiable within the scale for candidates with QTS)St Joseph’s is a welcoming and vibrant, multicultural Catholic Primary School in the heart of Kingston.
The Governing Body are actively seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team of friendly and motivated staff.
The successful candidate will:Provide whole class PPA teaching cover and play an important role in supporting our children's learning journey.Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupilsPromote pupils independence, self-esteeem and social inclusionGive support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achivementYou should be patient, adaptable and enjoy working as part of a dedicated team and be able to show initiative both in a class setting and working with small groups/individuals. Excellent communication, written and oral English skills are essential for this role, along with a HLTA status or Level 3 certificate in supporting teaching and learning in schools.Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.Closing date: 20th June 2025 9.00a.m.
