Summary
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as a key technical and advisory expert, providing clear and practical regulatory guidance across business areas to ensure continued compliance with FCA rules and expectations.
- Deliver specialist advice on regulatory and legislative matters to senior leaders and operational teams-especially supporting the Technical Manager in embedding Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty considerations.
- Assess operational and technical functions (e.g., IT systems, data governance, risk controls) for alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal control standards.
- Support the implementation and communication of regulatory requirements through effective training and awareness initiatives.
- Drive the development and execution of oversight activities, including regulatory gap analysis, thematic assurance reviews, and the design of corporate monitoring processes.
- Represent the Compliance function at internal and external governance committees, ensuring regulatory requirements are clearly understood and embedded into business objectives.
- Provide administrative and strategic support to the Technical Manager and Head of Regulatory Services in interactions with the FCA Supervision Team and Proactive Engagement Programme.
- Advise on and oversee adherence to the Training and Competence (T&C) Policy across operational teams, ensuring a compliant and effective T&C framework is maintained.
- Provide timely and relevant advice to the Risk, Audit & Compliance Committee, Executive Management, governance forums, and clients on regulatory change management and its application.
- Maintain and evolve Compliance-owned policies, procedures, and control frameworks across the business, providing targeted training to senior stakeholders as needed.
- Support the delivery of Diligenta's annual Compliance Plan and contribute to strategic compliance initiatives for both existing and prospective clients.
- Engage collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory goals are met across all areas of responsibility

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Experience in a leadership or team oversight capacity with a focus on setting and achieving compliance goals.
- Familiar with regulatory horizon scanning to identify emerging risks, regulatory changes, and trends.
- Skilled in analysing management information to highlight regulatory concerns and inform decision-making.
- Ability to produce clear, concise reports and recommendations for senior leaders and clients.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Compliance or Risk function within the Financial Services industry.
- Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment, including FCA regulations and principles.
- Comfortable taking initiative, navigating ambiguity, and addressing complex compliance challenges.
- Willingness to travel to other client locations as reasonably required.
