Acorn by Synergie is working with a client in Cwmbran who design and manufacture monitoring and telemetry equipment for water. They are seeking a Team Leader to join their company on site in Cwmbran.
Purpose of Job
The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a production line, ensuring that production targets are met. The role involves leading a team of operators, coordinating activities, troubleshooting issues, liaising with other departments to optimise productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow, satisfactory performance, right first-time quality, high morale, and governance to policies and procedures.
- Oversee the daily operations of the production line, ensuring products are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure that products meet the required quality standards by conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, reduce defects, eliminate waiting time, and lower costs.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality issues.

Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- GCSEs or equivalent; additional qualifications in manufacturing or engineering are advantageous.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
