Do you want to creatively support vulnerable learners to succeed? Are you able to demonstrate care and ambition for your learners? Do you love exploring outdoor learning opportunities with children?
Because every child is unique, our approach is genuinely bespoke. Far from adapting a curriculum, we offer a provision which takes account of insight and input from all the key people in the child’s life, from their schools and key workers to their parents and, of course, themselves. Working this way puts success within children’s reach, reframes learning in the context of their potential, and allows them to experience the personal reward of achievement. By helping them achieve, together we deliver change that’s meaningful and, crucially, sustainable over time: change that helps them to rise, transform and grow.
The role will include:
Providing support for children and young people, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning
Establishing good relationships with children and young people, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children and young people
Encouraging children and young people to interact with others and to engage in activities led by the teacher
Encouraging children and young people to act independently as appropriate
Preparing the outdoor environments for sessions and clearing afterwards
Assisting with the display of children’s work
Being aware of children and young people's problems/ progress/ achievements and reporting these to the teacher as agreed
Being aware of/working within planned learning activities
Working with staff in managing children and young people behaviour and reporting difficulties as appropriate
Part Time 0.4 - 0.8
( Days are negotiable)
