Summary

The Role:
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Work Experience Co-ordinator, three days a week, to join our Gateway Campus team. This pivotal role involves building strong relationships with local employers to secure meaningful work placements for our foundation-level students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The ideal candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting students in gaining valuable real-world experience. Excellent organisational skills and a collaborative approach are essential, and existing connections within the local community would be a significant advantage.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As Work Experience Co-ordinator, you will play a central role in enhancing student employability and workplace readiness. Your main duties will involve:

Securing high-quality and meaningful industry placements for Foundation Learning students.
Engaging with employers and internal curriculum teams to build sustainable partnerships and placement opportunities.
Preparing students for placements through guidance, CV development, and pre-placement support.
Tracking and monitoring placement progress, student preparedness, and employer feedback.
Maintaining robust systems and documentation to ensure compliance with DfE and safeguarding requirements.
Collaborating with the Careers Team to support student career development and enhance placement outcomes.
