Summary

Best Connection are currently recruiting for Trainee machine operatives in the Feltham area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to get their foot in the door and begin work as a machine operative. Whilst this is a trainee position, any experience working with machinery is a bonus.

Your role would be working as a trainee machine operative, this would consist of operating heavy machinery within the warehouse such as CNC machines, Edge banders, Beam saws & more. A lot of these machines are controlled via a computer so someone who is comfortable with technology is required. You may also occasionally be required to repair the machines so knowledge of hand tools such as screwdrivers, spanners etc would be ideal. As you will be beginning as a trainee machine operative you will be shown how to work the machines and trained up to become more skilled within the professional, with the end goal of becoming a permanent employee within the company. You will also be required to spot issues with the materials such as scratches, chips etc and will need to identify these so a good eye for detail is needed.

Shift times: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm primarily.

Flexibility is required as shift times can vary depending on requirements and weekends will be occasionally required.

Pay: £12.21 with OT after 40hrs paid at 1.5x (£18.32) and weekends paid at 2x (£24.22)

What we are looking for:
-Reliability and punctuality is a must.
-The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable with computers and hand tools
-Someone who is passionate about their work and is willing to listen and put the effort in to learn
-Candidates with good attention to detail
-Someone who is flexible to work weekends when required
