Summary

Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) have been set-up in response the Governments 2017 Green Paper,Transforming children and young peoples mental health provision.MHSTs aim to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people. We are a supportive MHST and we provide many opportunities for ongoing training and CPD. You will receive regular case management and clinical skills supervision which also includes Whole School Approach supervision. The successful post holder will deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health problems. This will be through 1:1 interventions, parent led interventions, groups, workshops, and assemblies. You will work in collaboration with other EMHP's to deliver groups, workshops assemblies and staff training. You will work closely with the school mental health leads to develop a Whole School Approach to mental health and wellbeing within your allocated schools.
