About the role
Join our esteemed Connect Plus Services Technology Team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the M25's technological infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include booking and coordinating roadspace and traffic management bookings (NOMS) for fault rectifications, maintaining the Service Now job management system, and supporting/coordinating with the maintenance coordinator with routine maintenance scheduling and closures when necessary.
You will also liaise directly with the team including the fault coordinator and performance manager, as well as the wider business including roadspace team, central planning team, and other schedulers . What you'll be doing
- Adhere to ‘Zero Harm’ safety process at all times.
- Schedule, coordinate and manage roadspace bookings for reactive fault tasks to be carried out; including, but not limited to, making roadspace bookings, liaising with 3rd parties to share closures, arranging shares/permits where necessary.
- Coordinate with the technology services coordinators with details of bookings in progress and confirmed.
- Working with both the technology and roadspace teams to continually adjust and refine short-term programme to ensure all KPIs for technology are met.
- Ensure all road space is booked and used efficiently through co-ordination with other internal and external works.
- Ensure NH Service Now data is captured and entered correctly and all data accurate.
Who we're looking for
- IT literate, conversant with database applications, competent in the use of MS Office applications, MS Excel/Word/Projects (or similar).
- Previous experience in managing booking systems would be adventitious.
- Knowledge of the area network would be beneficial.
- A technical bias would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of highways activities, traffic management and incident management.
- Working knowledge of National Highways’ Service Now job management system, and/or Connect Plus Services Network Occupancy Management (NOMS) system.
