Summary
**Job Title:**
* Personal Assistant / Carer

**Purpose of the job:**
* Personal assistant required for a gentleman in Stockport, SK1 area. Client is blind and requires support with day-to-day tasks, no personal care required. Driver with own transport required for the position. To support client to remain independent at all times.
**Hours and rate of Pay:**
* £12.87 per hour
* 14 hours per week days and times to be discussed on interview.
**Main Duties:**
* Cleaning - to include hoovering, dusting, washing and general tidying.
* Washing and drying of clothes, helping to put clothes away in the right order and keeping clothes tidy.
* Food preparation- helping to prepare and make meals, baking.
* General food shopping
* Shopping for clothes and any other items that are required for example gifts for my wife, family or friends.
* Out in the community-Taking me to social groups and activities
**Personal Assistant Specification:**
* Driving licence with own transport.
* DBS check will be required.
* Assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
* My assistant must respect my privacy and always maintain my dignity.
* My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.
* You must be able to work well independently.
* My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
* The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.
