Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join their thriving early years setting. Set in a charming and characterful environment with a beautiful outdoor garden, the nursery is a nurturing space where children are encouraged to explore, play, and grow—and where staff feel empowered and supported.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or Third in Charge who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, the successful candidate will help lead a passionate team and ensure that every child receives high-quality care and education.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent)
  • Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Room Leader, or Third in Charge
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding protocols, and Ofsted standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A passion for early years and a child-centred approach to learning and care

Why Work with This Nursery?

  • Funded training and development opportunities
  • Access to a staff benefits portal with rewards and discounts
  • A dedicated wellbeing support programme
  • Company pension scheme

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Lead and motivate staff, modelling best practice and fostering a positive team culture
  • Maintain high standards of care, education, and safeguarding in line with EYFS, Ofsted, and company policies
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community
  • Take shared responsibility for compliance, health and safety, and staff development
  • Step up in the absence of the Nursery Manager
