Summary
Electrical Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work at NHS Rampton to carrying out electrical safety checks, PAT testing, planned and call out maintenance and repairs.
You must be able to work to high levels of health and safety, understand and be able to work to building statutory requirements and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
You should have a full, current, driving licence, be IT literate for record keeping, have good customer service skills, be physically able to carry out the fuller duties detailed in the job description.
The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance within the construction sector, or similar, and be qualified to either Level 2/3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th edition.
Job objectives and responsibilities
-Maintenance of engineering services on resident contract at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
-Identification of additional works, and their implementation upon authorisation
-Ensure the company health and safety policy is adhered to at all times
-Ensure compliance with the Mitie maintenance quality management system as it applies to this position
-Assume role of Competent Person, once suitably qualified and appointed
Main Duties
-Carry out planned preventative maintenance, repairs, reactive and RAW works
-Work at other sites within the portfolio when required
-Work a 7 day shift rotation covering days and lates
-Complete work sheets for works undertaken, and obtain authorisation from the clients representative
-Attend call outs/breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis, repair or advise as needed
-Carry out emergency light testing, fire alarm testing and periodic electrical testing as required
-Run site generator checks as required
-Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal working hours, with additional remuneration
-Participate in on-call rotas if required, with additional remuneration
-Submit weekly timesheets on time, keep daily records up to date and complete other documentation as requested
-Complete ID checks when required, including but not limited to drivers licence mandate checks and DBS checks
