Summary

Looking for a new kind of leadership role? Ready to make a real difference in people’s lives?

Clean Slate is recruiting an enthusiastic and energetic Team Leader to join our mission to tackle poverty and reduce health and housing inequalities in the West of England.

We don’t need you to come from the support or advice sectors. If you’ve worked in customer service, retail, or hospitality, and have some supervisory or team leadership experience, this could be the new challenge you’re looking for.

About the Role

We’ve developed a system that works. Our Money Coaches help people on low incomes become better off, manage the cost of living, and take steps toward employment. We have built a range of partnerships with local health and housing organisations to help reduce poverty, homelessness and health inequalities. We now need a confident Team Leader to help deliver our services across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

You’ll manage and support a small team, ensuring they feel confident, capable and supported in their work. We’ll train you in everything you need to know, (although, if you’ve ever experienced financial hardship, you’ll have a head start). No more reporting on visitor numbers and sales – now help us report on the difference we’re making to people’s lives. No more listening to complaints, now it’s about hearing the success stories and making sure our frontline team is doing okay.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has supervisory or team leadership experience in any sector
- Thrives on helping people develop and succeed, while protecting vulnerable people from harm
- Enjoys working with people from all walks of life
- Can juggle priorities, manage their own workload, and support others
- Is excited about joining a team that’s serious about making change happen

No previous experience in advice, support or employment services is necessary – we’ll train you. What matters is your energy, your people skills, and your ability to motivate a small team to achieve great things. Think you can’t do everything in the job description? Don’t block yourself. That might make you exactly who we’re looking for.

Why Join Us?
- We’re a not-for-profit social enterprise tackling poverty head-on
- People we support typically become over £1,300 better off
- You’ll help reduce homelessness and health inequalities across the region
- You’ll contribute to meaningful strategies for local change
- We invest in your development, including full training on the support sector and safeguarding
