Summary

Deputy Home Manager – Residential Care
Location: Poringland
Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £35,000 Per Annum

I’m currently working with a well-established care provider to recruit an experienced Deputy Home Manager for one of their high-quality residential homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in elderly care who’s ready to take the next step in their leadership journey—or continue growing in an already established managerial role.

About the Role:

As Deputy Home Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the home. You’ll work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered, and you’ll step into full leadership responsibilities during their absence.

This position suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, is confident leading and mentoring a care team, and is passionate about resident-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Home Manager with the effective daily running of the home.

Supervising, coaching, and developing care staff across all areas of their work.

Conducting pre-admission assessments and helping shape personalised care plans.

Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and maintaining accurate records.

Building strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.

Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture within the home.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in a Deputy Manager role within a care home setting.

Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

A commitment to resident wellbeing and quality care delivery.

Ability to foster strong relationships with families and external professionals.

What’s in it for You:

Work within a supportive and well-run care organisation.

A passionate and collaborative team environment.

Real opportunities for professional development and career progression.

A role that allows you to genuinely make a difference every day.

If you’re an experienced Deputy Manager—or a Team Leader looking to step up—I’d love to speak with you.
