Summary
Cleaner – Slough Borough Council Location: Yew Tree Road Children's Centre, Slough Start Date: 09/06/2025 Contract Length: Until 31/12/2025 Pay Rate: £13.44 p/h (PAYE) Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday (11:15 AM – 4:15 PM, shift times agreed with the manager)
About the Role: Slough Borough Council is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to support the nursery setting at Yew Tree Road Children's Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cleaning professional to contribute to a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for children and staff.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring the children's centre remains a safe and comfortable space.
Key Responsibilities: ✅ Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitising surfaces ✅ Maintain high hygiene standards in all nursery areas, including playrooms, offices, and communal spaces ✅ Clean and disinfect toilets, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces ✅ Ensure waste disposal procedures are followed correctly ✅ Report any maintenance or repair needs to the management team ✅ Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements: ✔ Previous experience in cleaning within a nursery, school, or childcare environment preferred ✔ Enhanced DBS Check (required) ✔ Ability to work independently and manage cleaning tasks effectively ✔ Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards ✔ Good time management and reliability
