Do you want to feel trusted and respected in your role?
Have you supported or led a team in residential childcare but felt like your voice wasn’t heard?
Do you want to be part of something smaller, warmer, and built with genuine care at its core?
If that sounds like you, Willow Family Care could be exactly what you’re looking for.

A new home with heart
This is a rare opportunity to be one of the first team members in a brand new children’s home created by professionals from the healthcare and education sectors, all driven by a shared goal: to build something different.
Too many residential homes are set up as money-making machines. Willow is not one of them. This home has been designed to feel safe, warm and full of care for both the children who live there and the people who support them.
We’re building a team who believe in the power of relationships, compassion and consistency. As a senior team member, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our culture and leading with heart.

What you’ll do
Provide trauma-informed, relationship-based care for young people aged 12–17 with SEMH needs
Lead shifts and support junior colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality care
Act as a role model and mentor within the team
Work closely with families, professionals and external agencies
Help build an environment where children and staff feel safe, respected and value

What we offer
A genuinely caring team who want to do things the right way
A clear salary structure and benefits to support your wellbeing and growth
Ongoing professional development, supervision and reflective practice
A culture that values emotional health, not just compliance
The opportunity to help shape something meaningful from day one
Your birthday off
28 days annual leave entitlement increasing with service
Health insurance
Uplift for bank holidays, sleep ins and on call

What we're looking for in you
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator/ NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent is essential
Experience working in children’s residential care and supporting young people with SEMH needs
Experience leading a shift or supporting a team in a care or support setting
A calm, confident presence — someone who can lead with empathy and build trust
Strong communication skills — able to listen, reflect and speak with clarity and care
A values-led approach that puts children first, with a deep sense of accountability
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
Emotional resilience and a reflective mindset
Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends and evenings as part of a rota
