Long-Term with Potential to Go Permanent
We are looking for an experienced PMLD Teacher with a strong background in SEN education to join a caring and committed secondary school team this September. While this is a secondary school setting, the students present with profound and multiple learning difficulties, so a primary teaching approach is essential.
This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. A trial day can be arranged ASAP.
The Role:

Teaching small KS3 and KS4 classes of students with complex needs
Teaching small KS3 and KS4 classes of students with complex needs

Delivering sensory-based, highly differentiated lessons
Delivering sensory-based, highly differentiated lessons

Working closely with support staff and therapists to meet individual EHCP targets

Creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment using a primary-style approach

Contributing to curriculum planning and supporting holistic learning

You Will Need:

Proven experience teaching in SEN schools, particularly with PMLD learners

Confidence using a primary approach to meet the needs of secondary-aged students with significant developmental delays

A passion for inclusive education and student-centred learning

QTS/QTLS or equivalent, plus an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain.
