About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic SEN PE Teacher to join a dedicated team supporting pupils across all key stages with complex SEMH needs. You will deliver physical education that promotes teamwork, physical health, confidence, and emotional well-being.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Create a safe and structured environment for physical activity
- Plan and deliver tailored PE lessons to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
- Promote positive attitudes towards health, fitness, and team spirit
- Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour during physical activity
- Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team including therapists and support staff
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
Requirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Specialism or strong background in Physical Education
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or additional needs
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
- A motivating, resilient, and compassionate approach
