Summary

We are currently looking for a Counterbalance / Warehouse Operative to work for our client based in Harrow. Suitable candidate must be able to manage the daily operations across two warehouse sites, focusing primarily on the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Working hours Monday to Friday Start times can vary between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM depending on delivery schedules Finish times are either 3:00 PM or 6:00 PM Pay: £14 per hour ( 1 hour break unpaid ) Key Responsibilities: Handling incoming shipments and supervising the unloading of various containers with stock and custom products. Ensuring all outgoing orders are prepared promptly and accurately. Operating forklifts and other manual handling tools safely and efficiently. Managing all relevant warehouse and operational documentation. Organizing and maintaining stock levels as well as storage spaces within the warehouse. Processing returned items on the same day and returning them to stock. Conducting random stock audits as directed by operations or finance teams. Building and maintaining good communication with delivery drivers, keeping a detailed log of their contact information. Keeping the warehouses and surrounding areas clean, orderly, and well-maintained. Overseeing the upkeep and proper functioning of all warehousing equipment. Collaborating closely with the Operations Manager and Warehouse Manager. Supervising temporary staff, with a focus on health and safety compliance. Always acting responsibly to promote the health and safety of yourself and colleagues. Taking responsibility for the first aid kits and equipment within the warehouses. Reporting any concerns related to security, cleanliness, or pest issues on site. Performing additional duties as requested by management in line with company policies and business requirements.
