Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The role of the Teaching Assistant 3 - Mentor is a key position, supporting students in a number of vocational areas and core subjects. Mentors offer classroom support, pastoral support and work with class teachers to develop meaningful programmes. They sometime supervise classes to cover staff absence, working in small teams to deliver quality cover classes. Whilst experience of working with young people would be advantageous, the ability to develop and sustain meaningful relationships and champion students who have struggled to access mainstream education is key.
We are looking to recruit five Teaching Assistant 3 Mentor’s with experience or an interest in one of the following areas:
Ø Art & Design
Ø Automotive
Ø Construction
Ø Sport
Ø Intervention

The Workplace provides industry relevant education for students in year 9-11 which is high quality, based on partnerships and focussed on enterprise.
