Voyage Learning Campus is seeking a skilled and compassionate Maths and Science Teacher to join our dynamic team in a unique and rewarding alternative provision setting. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a strong commitment to inclusive education, who can engage students with diverse needs and support them in achieving their potential.

The role will predominantly be based at our Medical Tuition provision on Baytree Road, Weston-super-Mare, with time also spent teaching at our PRU on Oldmixon Crescent, Weston-super-Mare.

About Us:

Voyage Learning Campus is an alternative provision for young people who are unable to attend mainstream school due to medical or health reasons, or permanent exclusion from a mainstream school. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment, trauma-informed approaches, and a curriculum tailored to individual pathways – all underpinned by strong pastoral support.

The Role:

• Deliver Maths and Science lessons to small groups or individuals, across KS3 and KS4, leading to GCSE and other accredited outcomes
• Support students with SEND using adaptable and inclusive teaching methods
• Be a key tutor for a small cohort, offering academic and pastoral guidance
• Contribute to the planning and development of the curriculum and wider school provision
• Work closely with families, external agencies, and our skilled multidisciplinary team

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
• Proven teaching experience, ideally across a range of educational settings
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly in Maths and Science
• Understanding of effective behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively
• A deep belief in second chances and the ability of every child to succeed
