Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Connect Academy Trust are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Family Support Advisor to join our team in September 2025. As part of Connect Academy Trust, there may be the opportunity to work in any of our schools in the future. This post is initially situated at Widey Court Primary School.

This key role will involve the successful post-holder working in partnership with children, families, school staff, and external agencies to provide support, guidance, and early intervention. The Family Support Worker will play a key role in improving outcomes for pupils by addressing barriers to learning, supporting wellbeing, and strengthening home–school relationships.

Widey Court Primary School is part of Connect Academy Trust, a multi-academy Trust of eight schools within Torbay and Plymouth. The Trust now educates over 3500 children with 550 staff, in both Plymouth and Torbay. Connect was formed in 2016 and aims to provide a firm foundation for developing teachers and leaders to secure the best learning opportunities for all children. It operates a dynamic, values-based system where each school is a giver and receiver of support.
